Impending fatherhood is turning Jerry O'Connell into a perceptible man – everywhere the setup. "We cleared out a bedroom, in fact not a bedroom, it was my aunt and uncle's old stuff," O'Connell, 34, told People magazine at Saturday's The Hills: A Staged Reading at Hollywood's Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. "I had my computer and video heroics in there. That got cleared out for the kids. So, I'm wondering what I'm going to do with my video game stuff. But, maybe that goes out the window when you have kids." Male circumcision has old-time shown to protect men from acquiring H.I.V. infection up sex with women - it has reduced female-to-male transmission estimates by 48% to 60% in sub-Saharan Africa - but that protective effect appears declined reliable among men who have sex with men, according to a new meta-analysis published Oct. 7 in the Journal of the American Medical Association (J.A.M.A.). The review is the greater comprehensive analysis of the subject to stage. It encompasses dossier from 15 studies conducted in seven countries, involving more than 53,000 men, better of whom were Caucasian and approximately half of whom were circumcised. The authors concluded that nature circumcised reduced a man's risk of acquiring H.I.V. by 14%. That finding was statistically nonsignificant, but the authors say it should be regarded as a launching period for future trials. "This study gives us a more complete picture than we've ever had before," says Gregorio Millett, the study's title role ghost and a senior behavioral scientist at the Centers for Disease determination and Prevention (CDC).
