Maternity leave

The law firm for which I worked when I had my daughter did not have paid maternity leave unless you were a partner. As far as I know, only one woman ever met that hurdle. It is a really short-sighted position to take when you are a ...

Republicans Lie. For decades we've been told that Republicans are the political party that represents small government. Vote Republican if you want to save your tax money rather than having it squandered away, they told us. Guess what? The Republicans lie. As soon as they got into power, they ran up the largest debt this country has EVER seen. Republicans lie.For months they've told us that experience is the most important qualification for the job of President. John McCain has chosen the least experienced possible running mate. The Republicans lie.Keep in mind, John McCain is 72 years old and has numerous health complications. He is unlikely to live four years, which means Sarah Palin would be the next President of the United States. The lack of experience is not my big concern. Palin is completely against abortion. (Is Governor Palin aware of all of the Nation's unwanted and neglected children? Is Palin aware of our overpopulation problem? Does Sarah Palin think women who are raped never get pregnant?) Governor Sarah Palin is against the endangered species act. Governor Palin does not believe that Polar Bears should be protected. Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska, and is in favor of increased domestic oil drilling, though Palin claims to stand up to big oil companies. Sounds like Governor Palin is in the pocket of the oil companies... just like our current administration. Do we really want 4 more years of the same on the McCain/Palin ticket? Definitely not. If you are voting for McCain because he has a female running mate, and you were formerly a Hillary Clinton supporter, you are nothing more than a sexist. Clinton and Palin DO NOT share the same policies. Clinton and Palin do not share the same political agenda. Anyone who would support both could be doing so for no other reason that because they are both women... that is where the similarities end. If you vote for someone simply because of their gender, you are completely uninformed and shouldn't be trusted with the vote. We are not voting for high school prom queen people, this is for the leadership of our country. No wonder our country is in such terrible shape.John McCain has made a short sighted decision in the hopes of gaining Clinton supporters, and sadly, it will probably help his campaign. Don't be so easily manipulated America. Thanks for reading. Read all you want, I'll write more. Author: NorCalCorsello Keywords: Palin NorCalCorsello Added: August 30, 2008
