Sa'ada dancing about childbirth and personal transformation

Posted on October 27, 2008 in Notice maternity

This dance is the story of Sa'ada's personal transformation through relationship, marriage, and childbearing and childbirth. She homebirthed her two daughters, and this dance was the way she is able to express the deeply changing experience. It is a story of womanhood; about the experience of all women who have seen change in their lives and embraced it.The music is a custom mix of Axiom of Choice's song "Valeh" (much thanks to John). Thank you to Katherine of "Silk Road Tribal" (http://www.silkroadtribal.com) for agreeing to video it on such short notice. It is shot in black and white due to the low light of the dance hall, and has the sounds of the people and families there present. It was recorded at the Empire of Medieval Pursuits event "Hafla al Madeena" in October, 2008.Sa'ada's website:http://geocities.com/easternfelicity Author: easternfelicity Keywords: natural birth birthing dance transformation feminine energy womanhood home homebirth belly bellydance oriental woman women change emotional emotions pregnant pregnancy expression expressive empowering female marriage love emp Added: October 13, 2008
