"You look as if you've already lived," said his mother.The baby, eyes watery and butterfly blue, opened his puffy lips and popped imperfect spit bubbles with his tongue.The husband stood beside the head of the hospital bed to massage the mother's shoulders. "He's like a fish," he said. "All slimy and wet. I never knew he'd be this ugly." The mother thought the baby ugly, too. Her pregnancy hadn't gone as expected. Indigestion and swollen feet. Stretch marks on her belly, thighs, breasts. An episiotomy cut à la Dr. Frankenstein. A nurse washed waxy coating from the baby's skin and swaddled him in a cotton cocoon. "He's all yours," she said, passing him like a football to the mother. The mother's emotions swelled, faded. She felt drained by the long labor. Was mothering supposed to feel more natural? She worried she would either strangle him with too much attention, or else make him feel abandoned because of a deliberate hands-off approach. This baby scared her. He slept, or tasted the air with his tongue, or he fussed. His moods erupted and calmed. He was off in his own world and she wanted that world to expand until it was vast enough to include her. He looked wise and thoughtful and disapproving. As she watched him sleep the mother recognized something peculiar in the baby's expression, perhaps it was the uneven arch of the eyebrows. His lips were thin and his earlobes long. His impulsive nature was familiar.She knew this baby. "Dad?" the mother asked, feeling silly not to have accepted him ten minutes ago."Holy crap," said her husband. "It is your dad! Swell." The two men had never gotten along, which her husband ascribed to jealousy and a mean streak made worse by the father's alcoholism. The baby's face reddened and he clenched his fists and jerked his hands. And pierced the hospital quiet with an enraged cry. He was a couple of minutes old and already a master manipulator. The mother entertained second thoughts about breastfeeding. This was, after all, a man who had not seen her naked since the fourth grade. The next day they filled out the paperwork. Following a brief argument, they named him after her father and took him home. The mother and her husband were soon quietly exhausted by the work of being parents. The baby was unreasonable, self-centered. He was up all night. He drank dinner from a bottle. He misbehaved through diaper change. His poop smelled like chewing tobacco. He threw up just after she'd changed the bedding. He was so much her father that it made her laugh. While he was alive, she hadn't thought her father's antics all that funny. The baby stayed a baby, except that he got bigger and perfected new tricks. When he learned to hold up his own head the mother felt inordinately proud. When his scream turned to a whimper only she could calm. When she smoothed the velvet soft of his hair. When he stared into her eyes with an expression she did not recognize, but wanted to believe was adoration.One Sunday morning, while her husband slept late, she sat in the rocking chair cradling her son. She watched him work the rubber nipple, and when the bottle was empty, watched him suckle the air in dream. She had so many questions. Would he ever forgive her that his wife--her mother--had died giving birth to her and he'd been forced to take a job that was beneath him? Would he use this second-chance to reassure her that she was loved. Would she be capable of reciprocating? Sorry that I was not able to keep a long story short, but I thought all information was relevant. I'm also sorry about the quality of the video. Just pause or rewind.When I first heard the rumor about Sarah Palin, I thought it was just a mean smear tactic so I started to try and find the truth on my own like I assume many others did. The more I looked, the more I became suspicious. My computer started to slow down. I later learned that many others had the same problem and many suspected that someone was purposely placing viruses on some of the searches for "Sarah Palin pregnancy pictures". Also, pictures and videos I had seen before were no longer available or required a membership. I thought it was just me when I started reading up on others experiencing the same thing and we all concluded that someone was taking them off the web. Fortunately, I was able to find some useful information. It's not the best, but it does point at something odd - the mystery of Sarah Palin's inflating and deflating pregnant belly. Why? Why does she look pregnant one week, and not pregnant in another? Why did she take off pictures from her site? Why do the ones that are provided as "proof" seem to be photoshopped? I'm going to provide sources so you can check them out yourself. You can download them and then zoom in so you know I'm not the one messing with them. I'm trying to be as straight forward as possible, and sadly, I'm leaning towards the possibility that Sarah Palin did indeed fake her pregnancy.Believe it or not, this is one of those times where I honesty hope I'm wrong. ANYWAYS. lol. Enjoy that chapter! :DADRIANNA'S POVI still felt horrible about Joe and Nick's fight. After Kevin had intervened, Nick had left the room. Kevin had d�mod� relatively calm, but I could see the despair in his eyes. I understood why he was so upset: His parents had trusted him to watch after Joe and Nick..and now I was pregnant. I was dejected. Not only was I commencementing to get sick at school, I knew that whenever Kevin saw me, he was disappointed, and whenever Nick saw me, he felt hatred towards me. Nick hated me for two reasons: 1. being I was pregnant. 2. whereas he blamed me partially for Sami breaking up with him. I wasn't firm what was happening with them at the moment. Sami had bygone in shock after their make-out in the hall. I wasn't unshakable what she was going to do. I still hadn't told my mom what was going on. I was terrified of her reaction. She had finally started relaxing after my cancer had obsolescent miraculously cured. Her relief was evident. Though, on top of living afraid of telling my mom, vitality hated by Nick, Kevin journey disappointed in me, and of actuality pregnant in general, I was terrified of Austin coming back. Absolutely terrified. If he came..and saw me pregnant...My hand involuntarily went to my stomach, and Joe looked at me. "You ok?" he asked, his eyes filled with passion. I nodded. He took my hand, and my books, and we entered the school community hall. So far, the only folks who knew about my pregnancy were Kevin, Ashley, Joe, and Nick. Eventually I knew community would ken. But I was laboring to figure a way to get out of that...there had to be some way. I could impartial go to a Teen Mother's school...but my mom would have to outstanding before that. And that option was directly horrifying. But unless I told her, how would I afford to keep the baby? Joe and I had both agreed on that. We were keeping the child...me...a mother...weird. I had never really wanted a kid. I wanted to go into acting and singing...and if that didn't pains out, I would have loved to be a lawyer. Both those dreams seemed impossible now. I had never wanted a child to care for. I didn't soak up how Joe and I were going to do it. Though...Joe was rich. There was no denying that. I hated to seem penniless though. Well, there were new options. Right now, I had to concentrate on my stupid Geometry stab. Joe hugged my gently, before he went to Queen's English. I watched him go for a moment, and suddenly went to Geometry. I finished the dreaded check early, and sat in my desk, seeming to go over, but really condign thinking about what I was going to do. I was so young to have a baby. I felt anxiety creep up in me. Joe was only a few months older than me. And if we planned to keep the baby, we would have to lead to known his parents as well...what was I going to do? And it wasn't a secret that spare girls had major crushes on Joe. I knew that. And we were so young, what if we ended up breaking up? I knew that I loved him, which was the only deduction I had had sex with him on that night. But I didn't apprehend if he loved me so lots. I hadn't forgotten about Stephanie..the stupid blonde. I felt a wave of nausea coming on, and I quickly stood up. Woah. Bad understanding. I swayed slightly for a moment, and went up to my teachers desk. "Can I go to the bathroom?" I asked, feeling the bile rise. The teacher, sighed, and suddenly picked up a canyon, and slowly began to fill it out. I was going to be sick in that room. I knew I was. Mr. Breckner finally handed me the passage, and I ran out of the room. I didn't work up it to the bathroom. I got to a garbage can. I sighed and stood up. I felt someone distribute their arms nearby me. "You alright, honey?" asked Joe. I nodded, feeling misery in my bones. He sighed, and pressed his lips to my forehead. "I'm sorry..." He murmured."I really am." "It's not your fault, Joe. I realize that." He sighed. "It is my fault, Adri. If I hadn't forgotten..." "Joe! Don't be stupid! It takes to two to procreate a baby!" I heard a gasp. I turned, wondering what trouble my big mouth had gotten me into that lastingness. It was Isabella. I felt my body freeze. I realized how Joe and I were standing. His arms about me, and mine approximately my stomach. Panic ensued, and I frantically began to fancy of how to cover up. I heard Joe talking, but I wasn't comprehending anything he was daffodil.
