Although the clip says that the bill is being reviewed, the bill was actually passed on Sep 16th.Two types of apostasy are set down in the legislation: parental and innate.Innate apostates are those whose parents were Muslim, declared themselves as Muslim as an adult and then leave the faith.Parental apostates are those whose parents were non-Muslims, who had become Muslims as adults, and then left the faith.Article 225-7 of the code states, "Punishment for an Innate Apostate is death," while Article 225-8 says, "Punishment for a Parental Apostate is death, but after the final sentencing for three days he/she would be guided to the right path and encouraged to recant his/her belief and if he/she refused, the death penalty would be carried out."The bill was approved by a majority of 196 to 7, with two abstentions. The few Iranian media outlets that covered the issue played down their reports, while on others, such as the Majlis website and the website of the conservative daily Resalat, the reports were removed after a few hours. So they hang the gay individuals and that's how Ahmadinejad says"we dont have gays" and now they will OFFICIALLY hang the converts and that's how you keep the muslim population growing. The killing of apostate is nothing new. it has been going on since Islam came to birth .[Qur'an 3:72], [Qur'an 3:90],[Qur'an 16:106],[Qur'an 4:137] and [Qur'an 5:54} deal with apostasy directly in which it states that Allah will punish and reject apostates in the afterlife.Iran has practiced converts' killings before, however with the passage of the new law, the civil/criminal courts can publicly sentence converts to death.
