To Be True
SONG INSPIRATION & LYRICS:I went back to my songwriting journal to find this , dated October 6. "Wow," I thought. "That was awhile ago. Has life been that much?" Yes. Yes it has. I do recall, however, that the song was born when the first two lines arrived in that mysterious-package-from-the-subconscious form, like prehistoric tadpole-esque creatures surfacing one glassy eye, ready to become God Only Knows What.I REALLY wanted a nice, slammin' drum loop on this, but none of the loops in my Digitech were in 6/8. After a couple of hours of sniffing around a problematic Garageband 08 (which I've never used in my life), I moved on to create a different, tiny surprise at the end. Thanks for listening.
